Dear Yashasvi,

Your writeup should have been added with a few photos.

Writing about the people of those distant places will definietely add pleasure to reading the travalogue. (As you have done in another blog).

Dear Sir,

the peculiar thing that I noted about locals were their love and dedication to their culture
They LIVE thru each and every aspect of their culture
the preserverance of their heritage is exemplary.

Though I could not meet them or spend time with them because in a group you have to match withthe pace of the pack

But yeah these people were very lively as you would hear the latest songs in the local dhabas(restaurents with Indian touch...if Iam defining them correctly...hi hi hi hi hi)
But yeah the NATI , a dance they perform while they take their Devtas from one place to another was great ....... their movement of steps and the way the dance with arms entwined in each others back was really amazing..... a very subtle dance with rhythmic movements
in the dances like Bhangra high energy and action0packed movements are involved, but in NATI, slow movements of legs and hands are their.
and they dance in unison and in a closely knit group.
And I was astonished to see that on one shiop you couild find the CDs for remixes and on the other you would see the same folks dancing on their old songs.....

And teh best part was the updation of their songs with the race of time.
Many of their songs include the names of modern industrial cities like Chandigarh, Baddi etc wherein the lady sings that her beloved went to these industrial estates and has been lost in the lust forgetting his love that awaits him in the snow clad peaks.....

A man from the cities would certainly envy the SLOW paced life....... they are not slaves of TIME rather time waits for them
they donot care for time-schedules rather care for Nature's schedules, unlike people like us who have to run after the tickling of minutes

I missed that in my blog
Thanks for making me remember the same
